eBay’s active content policy kicked in on June 2017 and I’m sure many of you received the warning messages from eBay asking to take care of the active content on your listings.
CrazyLister’s new version is already 100% compliant with all the recent eBay policy changes, from active content ban to links policy.
This post is a wake-up call for all sellers – don’t ignore the recent policy changes, one day eBay may decide to remove listings which are not compliant (eBay is already hiding non compliant descriptions) so act to fix any issues now!
In March 2016, CrazyLister got an early heads up from eBay about the upcoming ban of active content. We were under a non-disclosure agreement, so we could not disclose any information before eBay’s official announcement in April. However, knowing that the clock was ticking and that there were 12 months left before eBay was to ban active content from listings – CrazyLister’s team immediately got to work.
5 months later, I’m happy to announce the release of the new CrazyLister editor – which is already 100% compliant with eBay’s active content policy.
Back in April 2016 eBay announced: “Beginning with the 2017 Spring Seller Update, eBay will limit the use of active content in all new listings across all devices and it will not be rendered by default.”
This raised many questions –
- What is active content?
- Why is eBay turning off active content?
- How will eBay listings function with active content removed?
Here is a link to an earlier post where I answer all of these questions – eBay Banned Active Content in 2017 – What Does it Mean For You?
In this post, I’m going to introduce the new CrazyLister, which is the world’s first editor to comply with eBay’s active content policy.
